Damn it, everyone is writing a book apart from me!

On the book shelves over here is an auto-biography or biography of everyone I could think of. Even if the person is only about 18.

Hmmm...!

Oh, and people, get The Hives - Hate To Say I Told You So and Adema - Giving In.
I love those songs right now. =D

Take the What Should Your New Year's Resolution Be? Quiz

Posted at: 8:57 PM

I'm up here at my uncle's house for the weekend. This is kinda fun...my uncle has a sweet computer with a buttload of games. But I'd much rather be with my girlfriend. My uncle gave me one of those spherical puzzles for christmas, it's pretty cool. I hate driving long distances in cars...I mostly just laid down and listened to two CDs over and over and wrote more for my book (yes, I'm writing a novel.) I'm going back home monday (i think.)

Posted at: 2:30 PM

Hey all. I'm at my best friend Skippy's house, and I'm updating the blog.

how freaking lame is that?!
Should be hanging out with her, but now she' confused because I said it was lame. Nevermind, I don't know what I'm saying anyway.

Yeah, so we're going to this punk rock show that my friend Janessa is organizing tonight, erm, this afternoon around 4:30 p and then it goes to around 10:30 p
Yeah, should rock. Last show it was really really cold, and we left our jackets in the car. Hurm.. But we have to say HI to this one guy, because last time he walked past and said Hey, and since Kylee was quite taken with him (haha) we sorta mumbled hello, except he didn't stop because he didn't hear us. So they've been talking online and stuff, and they're kinda friendly now (hahahahaa) so we'll maybe have enough courage this time. Maybe.

But I've got 2 spankin new cameras, so if they make out, I'm taking pics. Only saying that to tick off Kylee, haha, she doesn't like him."

So, well, I'm gonna say later.
Later.

(how gay is that?)

Can't remember if I've posted what I got for Christmas.. so far. We're having the family gift exchange this Sunday.
I got 3 cds, a shirt, a stereo, and a mystery gift.

I got those two cd's, an electric shaver (dry), the mandatory deodorant and chocs, couple of books (like the history of The Far Side), £120, and that's pretty much it. Great.

Hows about the rest of you?

You got a guitar?!?! UGH!
I am currently worshiping my parents and begging them for an electric guitar. I am sort of doing better than I did before, there is actually a possibility that I can get one now. Yay!
Grr, can't beleive you got one..
I almost fainted when I found a really good guitar autographed by Blink 182! Omg, but it's around $400 so kill that idea..
Yeah well, this really scary kid sent me a christmas card in a passonate red envelope with his picture enclosed in the card.
Scary..

Posted at: 12:19 PM

I had that kinda stuff yesterday. lol...my sis woke me up at 8:00, but I didn't really care. Not anything spectuacular I wanted to get. I just got a couple of awesome CDs and a 3D game creation program that my computer is to slow to run. I'll probably buy more CDs later...it's really hard to find specific jazz CDs, especially when artists like Miles Davis have (literally) hundreds of albums. Anyways...Merry Christmas to all of you.

Posted by: Adam Halliwell
Posted at: 11:52 AM

Damn it, I have a really bad cold on Christmas day - it's so annoying. One of those really hoarse, phlegmy and throaty coughs. =(

My parents too woke me up at 8:00am. =(
And I can't open the rest of my presents 'til my mum gets back from work at 5:30pm. (It's 4:50pm now)
So far I have a couple of CD's - Lostprophets: The Fake Sound Of Progress - Incubus: Morning View -, a 100% Redneck hat (not something I should be proud about), the American version of Chamber Of Secrets (hardback), a dressing gown (oh, yay?) and...that's it so far.
Main present is money, so...I'll be waiting for that.
Oh yeah, and my mum was going on about one of the CD's I put on my list (One Minute Silence - Buy Now...Saved Later) - it has all sorts of nice words on the back. e.g. f**k.

Hehe. Have a good Christmas!

I have a really sore throat (if that's how ya spell it!), a mild cold, headache and feel uncomfortable constantly. I've only been getting around 4-5 hours of sleep a night recently, and I usually can't get to sleep in the first place. I hate Winter. =(
Why can't I live in Australia where it's Summer at Christmas!?

Ah well, Chrimboday tomorrow!

I couldn't get sick in school, but I do the second day of Holiday Vacation! Two days before Christmas! Bleh. Anyways, something remotely productive came from my being up so damn early. There's a new layout over at my blog...woohoo! lol.

My brother is coming up from Maryland today with his family for Christmas b/c he won't be able to come tomorrow or Christmas day (his wife has to work, which really sucks!) It's gonna be our first Christmas w/o him! =( But I'll get to see him today and he's taking me to see Linkin Park in February, so I'll see him. Hehe. Well imma go guys! Adios!

PA is Pennsylvania.
Yeah.. I know that PA isn't primitive.. just the Smicksburg area. As you enter the town the sign says "Smicksburg - The Heart of Amish Country". I find that amusing. Right now, I'm at my uncle's house in Indiana, PA. I like it much better. I mean, the farm is cool... but I like being in the burbs.

Anyways, I'm sorry about your perc teacher Andy =(
But as the rest have already said, well done on the girlfriend!
I too have a new girlfriend - as of last Saturday. =D Saw her today...she lives 30 miles from me, and doesn't go to the same school either, but I'm happy anyway.

Travis - I hate you! Unless of course you're give me your connection... ; )

PA? Where's PA and what does it stand for? Phoenix or something? And yes, I'm stupid. =(

Anyways, I better be off now! Bya...

Grrr...my dad and I tried to hook the keyboard up to the computer...and he fooled with some settings to try to get it to work that I knew wouldn't, and now there's no sound. So, I can't work on my songs right now. :( oh well. I just got back from a friend's house. Yesterday was so awesome.

Ugh... I'm tired. You know.. it isn't that cold up here in PA. I'm at my grandparent's farmhouse. I can't stay on long. They have a dial-up connection. I'm so spoiled with my DSL.
Later.

Posted by: Andy Edwards
Posted at: 5:13 PM

Hehe...my "date" with my girlfriend was awesome. It was hilarious...I was freaking out because I had miscounted my money and I was afraid I didn't have enough to pay! But, it was great. *sigh* and then I got home, and started thinking about Mr. Hershon (my perc teacher) again...I had never really thought so much before about how I would really never, never get to see him again. It's just so hard to imagine :(...and here's another detail I found out that is awful...supposedly he was playing frizbee with his son when he had a massive heart attack. God, I'm sorry for his son...I can just imagine how horrible that would be to go through that. So anyways...I'm glad you liked the poem, Laura! Talk to you guys later.

Posted at: 12:33 PM

Hey! Guess wot, everybody, I'm in drafting class, hehe.
Andy, that was really a great poem, even thought it was sad..
But - yeah.
My drafting teacher brought in his really cute kid today, so I think I'll go say hi later. Yeah

Thursday, December 20

Posted by: Andy Edwards
Posted at: 11:40 PM

So, with today being pretty sad...I began writing a piano solo called "A Ripple in Time." It's about those sad, beautiful moments where time just...slows down...like today. Today has been the slowest day in the world. Partially because of my perc teacher dying, then the early dismissal, and I didn't get to see my girlfriend at all. So anyways...

Posted by: Georgeanne Travis
Posted at: 10:13 PM

Hey, Kel... you like the Moffatts?
They performed at my school either 2 or 3 years ago (time just flies).
It was okay. They weren't much... but then again don't ask a musician to critique another musician... 2 years can make a big difference.

Posted by: Andy Edwards
Posted at: 9:31 PM

I know I put it lightly...I'm just kinda burned out after crying a lot. But hey, I'm not sad...after all, I have a girlfriend now! *grins* and tomorrow we have an early dismissal frim school because of exams, so we're walking (because we can't drive, haha) over to a restaurant to eat lunch after school lets out. I'm kinda one of those people who has a lot to be sad about and a lot to be happy about, so I kinda go back and forth between them depending on the situation.

Here's a poem I wrote as a tribute to my teacher.

You always made me smile and laugh
to know you I was blessed
You were always such a great teacher
now I realize you were the best
To help me, you were always there
with your eccentric ways of showing me you care
You helped me to grow to be something more
unlike anyone else before
we parted but planned to meet again
little did I know, I would not see you once more...

I was going to see you again someday
why did you have to die?
Why did you have to go away
before we could say goodbye?
When I heard that you were gone today
I hoped it was a lie
I wish I was only dreaming, that way
I wouldn't have to cry
Why did you have to be so great
I'll never see you again
My memories of joy I now hate
because of this sad, sudden end
Of all of the people it could have been
why did it have to be you?
You didn't deserve it in any amount
you were the best teacher I knew
Why did I ever have to get mad
why didn't I ever thank you
why did I wait until it was too late
I was blind until your life was through
Why didn't I realize how important you were
until now, now that you've died
maybe in heaven, or in my dreams
I'll see you around sometime.

If you want to read more of my poems, just ask...I started writing them a month or two ago but I've already got more than 30. The same goes for my songs. I'll talk to you guys later!

Posted by: kel cannot skydive
Posted at: 7:33 PM

Aw, I'm sorry bout your teacher! :( But It's cool you got a girlfriend! Woohoo! LoL. I spent like all night designing a layout for my blog afterglare *shameless plug, haha* and i didnt even put it up. grr. oh well. later guys

Man... that's worse than your teacher moving. (gee that sounded stupid). I know how you feel though. As for the girlfriend.. *SCORE* go Andy! I still don't have a true boyfriend.. but I really don't care at this point. I get a lot of stuff done without that distraction. Laura, I hope you get that guitar. Musical instruments make the best Christmas presents.

Posted by: Laura
Posted at: 5:14 PM

YOUR PERCUSSION TEACHER DIED?
You put it too lightly!
Everybody is sad, and it's almost Christmas! Come, now, people..
As I'm sitting here, listening to New Found Glory (sweet :) I promise that I will design a template this weekend/break/month etc.
I'm relaly lazy, but since I love doing HTML
but it it sucks, then I'll let Kel have a go at it.

I also have to make one for my own site, which I have been neglecting.
Oh well. I asked my mom for an accoustic guitar for Christmas, but she said that "Santa" is done shopping.
Although she told me to talk to my dad to see what's on eBay. Is that a possible yes?!?!
the moment I learn to play an easy song, I am going to run down the road, for a mile to Skip's house and play it to her.
Yes, run. With the guitar. Ah, sounds invigorating.

I'm not even sitting @ my usual computer because someone wanted to play quake & didn't have it on his computer & it's on mine.. So... he's playing on my computer... ARGH! lol I don't really care. It's no big deal.. And, I'm bored as hell.. As I said before..

I'm sick!?
The person that created that Rocky Horror Show questionnaire thing is sick! Only a person like that could have come up with such ... weirdness.
I personally haven't seen the film, and don't really want to either - especially after the 'kissing your sister' thing!
I finally have MSN and IE back up! Whoot! Stupid dad changed the settings on it, so I'm going to permenantely change them, hoho!
What's that now? 6 days to go?
[Screams "yay!" like a lil girly] =D

And welcome Andy!

Kiss my sis? no thanks...lol. Hehe...I've never seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Anyways...a bit about me...I'm into the arts, and I draw, write poetry, and compose music (I play piano and percussion, and I'm learning guitar.) My favorite music is jazz. My favorite movie is A.I. unlike anyone else I know, most people didn't like it too much. But hey, I'm different. *groan* mom's yelling at me, gotta go!

Wow... Where have I been? Kissing sisters? lol In Rocky Horror Picture Show the servant/hunchback guy is supposedly one of the girls' brothers... But, they turn out to be husband & wife or some shit like that.. I haven't watched it enough lately! >.< lol

BTW, Welcome, Andy! =D =D Enjoy the blog. =D

And, Hey to everyone else! I've been sick for a while, so I haven't been online as much as I'd like. =P

LOL... love the mis-spelling of my name. =) seriously... don't worry about it. That's the closest anyone has gotten. It's one of the reasons why "G" is much better. ;-) The kissing sisters thing... ummm.. I don't know about that. If you've seen "Rocky Horror Picture Show" I think they mention that in there some place. It's the guy that sings "Time Warp"... his character enjoys doing that. My friend is still having email problems. I keep telling him to use a different mail server thingy.. he's quite the procrastinator.
Well, I've gotta go study for exams. *yuck*

AOL seems like it would be awesome, until you get it. My dad won't let me get it, though I think it might be a tad better than floating banners and annoying crap.

Oh, don't worry about being a few years older than us. It's kinda cool. Besides, I turn 18 on 1/30 (if that makes u feel better).
I'm so tired of high school. I never thought that I would have 'senioritis', but I do. I could have sworn I gave you my location earlier, Laura... oh well. I'm so absent minded during finals week. 3 more days of school. 6 days til I leave for Pennsylvania. 21 days til state band auditions. 25 days til my college jazz band starts rehearsing again. 47 days til my birthday. Heh, that's enough numbers....

I feel old, I'm the only one not in high school. =)

I'll be going back to school in the summer... at least I'm going to do my best... I'll have my baby by then!!!!

Ugh, math sucks.

In my school, if you take Algebra 1A and Algrabra 1B, then you take Geometry before Algebra 2.
But if you took Algerbra 1 in 7th, then you take Algebra 2 in 8th, and then onto Geometry in 9th. That's where I am right now. So I guess that I'm just messed.

Sorry, you didn't gice me your location, so I couldn't add it, G
*winks*

Well, life is confusing. cant relaly say why at the moment, haven't decided my feelings yet.

LOL... Math is messed up at my school too. There are so many different tracks. I did Pre-Algebra in 7th grade, Algebra 1 in 8th, Algebra 2 in 9th, Geometry in 10th, half a semester of Pre AP Pre-Calc my junior year, and said 'forget it!'
I've been math free ever since (except for the stuff in science classes).
Math. Just say no.

By the way, over on the side bar where you have everyone's name and stuff... you can put my location. (Denton, TX, USA)
I like being unique and all, but the location thingy is cool. =)

Oooh geez... I haven't checked this blog in a while. >.< Hey new bloggers. *waves* Welcome back, Laura. *hugs* =) Sneaking online is great fun. I've done it... Well, for months @ a time. =D

Geometry is taken after Algebra 2. This is how the list goes : Pre-Algebra, Alg 1, Alg 2, Geometry, Pre-Calc, etc.

Actually.. here, it was Algebra 1 ( or you could start w/Pre-Algebra, and then go to Alg 1) , Geometry, Algebra 2, Trig, Pre-Calculus, Calculus.. But, that's if you're in track two math, like me. Track 2 is average.. Track 1 ( smarter kids ) is Geometry ( i think? ), Alg2/Trig, Pre-Cal, Calculus & then something else.. lol But, you're only required to take 3 yrs of math. I took 4. =P So, that puts me in Trig. =P What fun! lol It's actually not that hard if you pay attention...

But, anyway.. Errr.. I'm off for now! Cya later, guys!

I must get back to my Gov't. Project, Eng. Project, Grammar Project, French assignment, and study for 3 tests.
All of which need to be finished by tomorrow..... and they say that your senior year is supposed to be easy. LOL

Today Nick was home sick. And I usually wouldn't care, except that he was senior of the day - which it sucks to be absent on, because everybody runs up to you and gives you a big hug and smiles "Happy Senior of the Day!!"
Ahwell. Tried to call him, but his line is busy. Not a surprise.

Um, I'm really tired and I have loads of homework. Fun I think not. Most likely I'll put it off for another hour or more. Even more if Nick and I talk on the phone.
Busy busy Laura :)

Luckily for me, I don't have any little brothers.... but there are a few sophmores that we all want to beat the shit out of. They all seem drawn towards me... I'm like a magnet for annoying immature kids or something. So, in a way, I feel your pain.

That is so cool! Another Texan. (:
I feel special. Well, I need to work on my U.S. Government project.
To answer Adam's question "What is geometry?" It is the mathmatical study of shapes. All those formulas that you use to find the area. perimeter, circumference, etc. But it goes in depth, and it is a very boring class. I wish that it had only been a 1 semster class.

What a sad sad world.
Actually, you're lucky that you don't know what it is, because I, unfortunately, know and must take the class.

Geometry is taken after Algebra 2. This is how the list goes : Pre-Algebra, Alg 1, Alg 2, Geometry, Pre-Calc, etc.

I'm back. Well, I'm not allowed to go on, yet sneaking is easy when you have 2 major projects due in a few weeks.

I know I'm evil, yeah yeah.

Well, let's see what's new in my life..
Nick told me 2 days ago that he did have feelings for me when we were in the play together. I don't beleive him though. And now, neither of us likes each other in that way, because we are getting to be really close friends.

That's about it. Um, there's this dork in my school who will most likely ask me to the Snowball (the winter prom).
I'm going to say NO though. Yuck.

I'll probably post more later or tomorrow!

{ do i appear that i enjoy being your doormat? }

Posted at: 3:22 PM

No, I have not frenched a guy yet. The idea of sticking my tounge down someone's throught repulses me right now, if that's "OK" with you ;)
And I don't wear much makeup, only mascara (waterproof, thanks) because otherwise I have no eyelashes. Not literally, but still.

Anyway.
There's this kid who goes to my school, and he's an abslute nerd. And we think he has this crush on me, and since the prom is coming up, everyone is bothering him to ask me. And he turns very red in the face.
But the problem is, I wouldn't go with him - ever, but I don't want to hurt his feelings! And I don't even know if I'll go because no guy is going to ask me except a nerd, and not all of my friends are going.
Ugggh, confusing.
Also, I feel so sick I can barely move, I almost fainted when I got home. Literally.
And I have piano (uck!) @ 4:00, and I feell really sick, and I haven't practiced the entire week. I'm really not in the mood for another one of Mrs. Checkeye's (my piano teacher) lecture on how I soulnd practice.
Just because I'm constantly doing homework, does not mean that I have to stay up until dusk practicing my blooming piano peices.[
God..

Apartently I am going to die at age 75. But since the clock is timing how it was during the Renaissance.. I think I'll live longer.
Atleast I will if I loose a few pounds.

I think I'm going to go email that kid now.
And maybe email Nick. But maybe not. Nick is odd.

I don't want to go to piano, I am too.. too.. weak feeling.
Uuugh.

Ah, I see you noticed the death-clock on my Blog. =D
The thing that's really been getting on my mind lately, just so happens to be death. We don't really have that long to live, and then when we're dead, that's it. Nothing.
I thinking I'm going to convert to Hinduism when I'm around 90 (If I live that long, which I won't according to that death-clock!), so that I will be rebornd. Sounds good, eh?

I wouldn't mind snowboarding, but I'd fail miserably, like I do with pretty much everything else. Apart from failing, which I excel at.
You haven't frenched a guy (yet)?
Soya milk, urgh, never tried it and don't want to. No matter how good it is for me.
Getting laid for girls is so easy, just slip a hand down some hapless guy's pants (trousers) and you've got him.
I hear chinchilla's make nice coats...
Skinny dipping, in summer right?

Oh, make-up, that reminds me of some weird girls that always go swimming, they always put on their make-up a few hours before going swimming. And when they come out they have black mascara dripping down their faces. Freaky! To be honest, if a girl wears make-up, it usually means that she's got something to hide, like a second head or something. I like the girl to be more 'natural' if you get what I mean. Without make-up. Anyway, girls look prettier without it anyway, so what's the point?

Before I die, I must...

1. Get laid (C'mon, who doesn't?)
2. Tandem sky dive - I would never go on my own, I wouldn't be able to pull the cord, I'd be scared shitless!
3. Pass all my exams in 3 years time.
4. Go to university and come out with a decent grade.
5. Get a job paying over £5 000 a year ($7 500). =D
6. Not lose my hair.
7. Not grow older.

Ermm...I'm struggling for ideas now, so I'll stop. =)

Here's my run for today. I went to school, did 2 History exams, did fairly well. Had lunch, went to Physics, then Maths, came home, went to work, came home again, and had dinner. My life is so exciting now-a-days!

I am going to list all of the things I want to do before I die.

Before I die I will..
1. learn to snowboard
2. drink soymilk (just once)
3. french a guy
4. drive a convertable
5. stand up to my father
6. get laid
7. get a chinchilla
8. go to Egypt
9. go skinny dipping
10. go without makeup (however slight) for atleast one, full day

That's my list. Speaking of which..

I'm bored! Yay! That's nothing new. And, Laura.. heh. I didn't realize you lived in PA. Ha! *is dense* Erm... Yea!

Health sucks, you know? I mean, first they ram you over the head with things you already know. Like "smiking is bad". We know this! If we wanted to smoke - we would. Secondly, we get assigned groups, and Laura always gets the dumb group.
Now I am stuck doing the whole freaking project that's on Rohypnol & GHB.
Gads, no wonder the other people there were happy, they do nothing and get an A.
Grrrrg..

Here's Nick's email he sent me:

#
Laura!

Guess who got his modem fixed... well, after many deviations. Let me start from the beginning:

It was an early Saturday Morning (1:00pm) when I turned on the computer. I
figured I'd try to work on the problem. I called tech support for my ISP
(gag) and after being treated like a moron (not a mormon), I gave up hope.

Well, until I decided to format my main hard drive. Yes, format. To delete
everything. Lucky for me, I had a backup hard drive. I backup everything of
importance on to the drive and whatever was left over went onto my trusty
zip disks (100megs each, only three of them have I). Anyway, I was smiling,
knowing soon this problem would be no more. I shut down, rebooted, and
formated the main drive. Then I recovered the files with my trusty Recovery
CD.

Then, BLAM! It hit me like a drug, I couldn't get onto my computer. It
talked of nonsense about Invalid System Disk... And I could do nothing.
Well, I formatted again, and the same message. Devoted to my craft, I
repeated the process at least 6 times. And finally, I got past, and then
BAM! Another message, USB Cable Not Detected. GRRR!!! Why?

I couldn't press any key, no response. Why? Well after formatting at least
once again, I realised the obvious, my keyboard had been disconnscted on the
back of my computer. DUH! So I plug it in, get into the system and
happiness reigns... Until I click on my backup drive to see it wiped clean.

I lost everything of importance to me. I lost over 150 megabytes of
personal stories, poetry, addresses, projects, websites, pictures, icons,
ponderings, ideas, and letters. Not to mention the 2 gigs (2000 megs) of
files and programs to which I had no backup for.

Luckily (If any luck can be present) I had the three hundred megs of backup
files on the zip disks. I got everything from those onto my computer. Then I
had a few cds of software and installed them. Then I went downstairs on my
mom's computer and found software I had lost, which I burned on a CD and
installed on mine, then I installed Microsoft Office 2000 again. YEAH!!!

Every thing seemed better... until I tried to connect to my modem. "No
Response" it read out. BOOHOO! I opened up the computer and switched a few
cords around. "No Response". I opened it up again and switched two modems
around. BAM! "Response" Then, I went through and configured it all.

I understand that for the next week at least, I will be recovering from
this tragedy. Not to commercialize a horrific event, but this is the
"September 11th Tragedy of Nick's Computer". That's the magnitude of this. I
lost so much work that I wish I was dead. Yeah, that serious. That is at
least 200 hours of manual work that I lost in My Documents alone. Stories I
was working on... All gone... oh, you get the point you say. Okay.

So Anyway, I am saddened yet happy, that all it took was a format and
reinstall, but also the lives of many many many important files of mine, to
correct my modem and recieve messages again from your favorite freshman and
mine, Laura Risch. And we go to Nick live:

Reporter: Was it all worth it?
Nick: Was what worth it?
Reporter: Losing all those important files to go online again.
Nick: Well, of course. I mean, you can always regain files from various
locations, but messages from friends, they make you feel happy instantly.
What I'm saying it, it's just software, and Friendship comes before software
anyday.
Reporter: There you have it folks, straight from Nick's mouth. It was worth
it.

wow, whatever. Well, I notice that you open almost every single letter with
something similar to "Sorry that I write you Emails so much". Look. I love
recieving emails from you. They are the first Emails that I have ever
anticipated in my internet career. Serious. they make me smile, and not that
many things do that day.

Do you avoid me in school for a reason, btw? It seems you avoid me as much
as possible... Oh well...

Sorry about the Melissa hand/butt thing. I was such as ass to do that. Wow,
I'll get even more prudish now. Yeah, melissa does love me, but I don't know
why. I guess because I paid attention to her. She was cool at first, but
when she bacame a stalker, I just became scared. Yeah, well.

Did she really tell you not to hang out with me? Wow... I might have to
talk to her. I would never be friends (or act it) with someone who tells
other not to hang out with me (actually I hang out with you).

So concludes my long letter, and in Laura Risch-ian tradition, I'm sorry I
made you read (or skim) all that. Love it or leave it, I hope you enjoyed
it.

And... Well, nevermind, we'll leave that for another time. Till the next
time.

Nick
